doors
At Scottish Bi-fold Doors we manufacture two systems of aluminium bifold doors – the top performing German Schuco system, and the country’s most popular and cost-efficient UK Smarts system. They will not warp, twist, expand or contract and are inherently stronger than their timber or uPVC counterparts, but slimmer to maximise the glass area.
Available in over 200 powder coated colours and every door made to measure by our highly trained engineers, they completely transform any living space, in both aesthetics and practicality.
Door leafs are available up to 1200mm wide x 3000mm high, with a slim 120mm between glass sightlines, and our 4 stainless steel rollers provide super smooth operation, even on triple glazed doors. We have made sure our multiple seals are resistant to our often windy and rainy climate, and also are child friendly to ensure no crushed fingers.

We put the most energy efficient glass on the market in our bi-fold doors – Planitherm – and combined with our warm edged spacer bars our doors easily meet the Scottish Building Regulations U value criteria of 1.6 W/mK2, and with the use of triple glazing U values as low as 1.1 W/mK2 are possible.
Every bi-fold door is fully manufactured in our factory to ensure nothing needs put together on site, and with our gearing running inside the frame, our standard rebated bottom rail can be fitted to your finished floor without being a trip hazard.
At our East Kilbride factory we will be happy to show you our Bi-fold doors and talk to you about options, you will be made to feel very welcome and there will not be a hard selling salesperson in sight.

The Schuco ASS 70FD offers exceptional protection against Scotland’s worst weather. The 60mm standard threshold – and 25mm external cill if required – can be sunk beneath the internal finished floor for an almost flush finish, without compromising on protection from the elements.

The Smarts Visolfold 1000 offers the same exceptional protection against Scotland’s worst weather. The 50mm standard threshold – and 25mm external cill if required – can be sunk beneath the internal finished floor for an almost flush finish, without compromising on protection from the elements.

Individual door leafs can be made to a maximum of 1200mm wide and 3000mm high – but with a narrow sightline of only 120mm between glass.
